32nd Annual
Sufi Retreat in Mexico
January 10 – 17, 2026
with Allaudin Ottinger and Saki Lee

Come join us for a wonderful retreat on a beautiful beach...
...where the jungle meets the sea. The Mexico retreat provides a rare opportunity to dive deeply into spiritual practice and inquiry
within a supportive community while enjoying the great beauty and serenity of the natural world.
Mornings are spent exploring Sufi teachings and other mystical traditions, dancing, meditation and discussion.
Afternoons are free for swimming, hiking, boating, whale-watching, or just relaxing on the pristine beach, which is right at your doorstep.
Evenings are devoted to Dances of Universal Peace and Zikr, the Sufi practice of remembrance.
The oceanfront retreat is located in a fishing village two hours north of Puerto Vallarta.
Swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gym, and spa with hot and cold pools are located on the premises.
Delicious meals emphasize fresh local fish, fruit, vegetables, chicken, and native cuisine.
The owners of the resort where the retreat is held created a primary school for children, a large organic farm and other services projects in the village.
Your room fees help pay for these essential services.
Please register early as space is limited (the registration form is at the bottom of this page).
Allaudin Ottinger is a Murshid (senior teacher) in the Sufi Ruhaniat International.
He is a long time practitioner in the way of love, harmony, and beauty.
As a lifelong musician, Allaudin has presented in a variety of settings throughout the world offering sacred Sufi music, World music, children’s music and more.
He’s also recorded several albums of Sufi music, jazz, and poetry.
Allaudin has led Dances of Universal Peace since 1979 and is a mentor/member of the Dances of Universal Peace network, a Cherag (Sufi minister), and a Dervish Healing Order initiate.
With great thanks to his teachers, he continues to travel the world and present the Sufi message.
Allaudin has helped to steer the Ozark Sufi Camp for 40+ years.
Among the many beautiful places he has presented Sufi teachings are the Abode of the Message in New York, the Lama foundation in New Mexico and the Mendocino Woodlands Camp in California.
Allaudin is honored to have led tours to Ajmer, India (Moineddin Chishti’s tomb), Uluru (an Aboriginal sacred site), Western Australia and Burning Man of the Nevada Desert.
But most of all, he is looking to help the Caravan of Body, Heart, and Soul of every being that he encounters along the way.
Saki Lee is a Murshida (senior teacher) in the Inayatiyya Order and has been a devoted student of Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan since 1974.
Her life’s centers on guiding seekers along the Sufi path through retreats, teachings, and personal mentoring.
Saki has lived and worked in the Netherlands since 1985, where she is a practitioner of East Asian medicine; integrating qigong, acupuncture, herbal remedies, and somatic therapies.
She is a certified mentor for the Dances of Universal Peace, a Cheraga for the Universal Worship, a Healing Conductor, Vice President of the Inner School for the Netherlands and Belgium,
and Emeritus International Vice President for Kinship/Brotherhood in the Inayatiyya Order.
Saki is the co-founder of a refugee support initiative which began in 2015. At the Mexico Retreat, she will offer teachings on “The Alchemy of Spiritual Eldering”.
This stage of life can be a luminous chapter of soul-ripening, integration, and spiritual service.
The alchemy of aging gracefully asks us to listen with loving attention to the voice of the heart, to live with more authenticity and compassion,
and to let the soul gently guide us toward what gives life meaning.
She will integrate her teachings with movement, meditation, dance, song and wisdom circles.
